MICHAEL HIERL
A recognized expert in facilitating successful, large scale organizational change, Michael is also an award winning entrepreneur who has founded and managed both a multi-million dollar software business as well as one of the most successful and highly regarded management consulting firms in the mid-Atlantic region.
Michael earned a B.A. in International Relations and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin and a Master’s Degree with honors in Organizational Behavior from Harvard University.
After Harvard, Michael joined a small team of internal management consultants at Squibb Corporation (now Bristol-Myers Squibb). After working on assignments worldwide, particularly in the areas of business strategy formulation and organizational redesign, Michael left Squibb in 1983 to launch Pacesetter Software and later Pacesetter Management Consulting (named in 2006 as one of the “Top Management Consulting Firms” in New Jersey by NJBiz newspaper).
With respect to his community activities, Michael currently serves as Chairman of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce Foundation (2006 - present), one of the largest and most successful Chamber Foundations in the country. He also served an unprecedented three-year term as Chairman of the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce (2003 - 2005), nearly tripling the organization’s membership during his tenure. Having earned the Eagle Scout award earlier in life, he served for nearly ten years as a key member of the Executive Board of the Central New Jersey Council of the Boy Scouts of America.
Michael’s awards and recognition include “2000 Entrepreneur of the Year” by the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce and was the recipient of the “Silver Beaver Award” for service to youth from the Boy Scouts of America in 2005.
In his leisure time, Michael is an instrument–rated commercial pilot. He resides with his wife Rhonda on a historic Bucks County farm in Buckingham, PA.
IRV SAFRA Founder/CEO of Safra Associates, LLC
Irv has over 35 years experience of starting companies in the high tech industry. His expertise spans business plan development, marketing strategy, product development and sales. Irv serves on a number of for-profit and non-profit Boards and currently facilitates and roundtable meeting of CEOs for a Philadelphia Venture Fund.
As a founder of iCue Corp., Irv lead the development of business unit and enterprise-wide solutions that provided instant communications, worldwide. These programs were for marketing initiatives and business process improvement that drove corporate branding, customer loyalty, and customer growth. Prior to starting iCue, Irv was a founder and president of the CARA Corporation - a national multi-million dollar healthcare data processing software development and service business.
Irv is a member of the EFGP Board, RFB&D Board & Past Board Chairman/National Treasurer, Advisory Board of ACI, Inc., and Chair of Advisory Board of HNL. Irv has also been a guest lecturer on entrepreneurship at Wharton, LaSalle, PSU, Widener University, Temple SBDC, and the Lehigh University Iacocca Institute Global Village.
MICHAEL L. WERT
Michael Wert is an active investor and advisor to early stage companies. He has made his career in advertising and marketing for 35 years. He is the retired CEO of DiMark, Inc. a company he co-founded in 1983. DiMark became public in 1989 and through organic growth and acquisitions, became the national leader in data driven, integrated marketing. DiMark was purchased by Harte-Hanks Communications in 1996.
He has served on many for-profit and not-for-profit boards. Currently, Mike serves as board member and finance committee chair of Catholic Health East as well as the Board of Overseers of the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing(UPSON). In addition to his duties as UPSON overseer, Mike serves as president of the LIFE executive committee, UPSON’s PACE practice in West Philadelphia.
Along with his wife Susan, Mike is a trustee of the Michael and Susan Wert Foundation.
